There are few things in this life then the fascination kids and some adults have with big equipment, and toys or course. every little boy and girl on occasion can sit for hours at end at a construction site and watch bulldozers, fork lifts, cement trucks. you name it. Bob is a building contractor that specializes in brick and mortar and works with his colleague Wendy, a group of neighbors and their vast networks of vehicles and heavy equipment.
Bob and his friends spend each episode renovating, constructing and repairing projects and doing whatever needs to be done. The show is great for kids because it focuses on cooperation, learning skills and resolution when conflict arises.
Everyone in the show are adults machines or one type of animal or another, except for an odd little creation called spud. Spud is not the sharpest tack in the box and always try’s to do work and ends up messing it up because he is a bit dim. And if that were not bad enough he likes to eat everything in sight. Bob’s main trait is to act as a guiding figure to his vast band of companions, patiently trying to teach them and helping them fix the messes they created. The machines seem almost childlike as they are impatient, don’t quite get it when it comes to the projects and never seem to understand the consequences of their actions, and basically just acting like kids.
